This is a therapeutic workshop on vocalization, breathing and ceremonial songs. Since ancestral times, chanting has been fundamental for our connection with ourselves, with the divine and with our spirit. In this workshop we are going to share vocalization techniques in order for you to find the natural texture of your voice. Our voice and our range are unique. In traditional ceremonies chanting is and has been fundamental for connecting with the divine because no one has the same tone of voice, and it is what makes us special and authentic.
In this workshop you will learn how to modulate, harmonize and synchronize your tone of voice with your breath, to communicate better with yourself and within all your relationships. We will teach you how to release repressed emotions through singing and breathing.
You will also learn the ancestral and ceremonial roots of the songs, the drum and the rattle, as well as their meaning and purpose. We will share breathing techniques that help you deepen your awareness of our own breathing. We can turn to these breathing techniques whenever we need it to calm emotions, clarify the mind, think better and make better decisions. Together, by breathing and chanting we can reach extraordinary levels of healing, release, excitement and transformation.
We are waiting for you.
The throat or fifth chakra is responsible for communication, expression and creativity. By regularly practicing chanting we stimulate the throat chakra, allowing us to express ourselves with clarity and confidence. It improves our ability to manage thoughts, ideas and emotions, thus encouraging better and effective communication, in all areas of our life, (personal, family, professional, etc.)
Chanting strengthens our ability to say yes when we want to say yes, and no when we want to say no. It helps us give a melody to our word, our voice and our way of speaking. In ancient sanskrit the fifth chakra is called vishudha which means “purity”. It is very common for our fifth chakra to be blocked due to situations of stress, anxiety, emotional wounds, strong impressions, and childhood trauma.
An effective way to heal and unblock this energy is chanting from a ceremonial, meditative and spiritual perspective. In this universe everything is energy, everything is vibration, and everything is in continuous motion. When we emit a song we are vibrating and moving energy inside and out of us.
Some other benefits of singing are; improving your body posture, stimulating the respiratory system, improving the quality of your sleep, reducing stress levels, stimulating the brain by producing endorphins, oxytocin, and dopamine.
Singing also strengthens the immune system, is a natural antidepressant, increases blood flow in the body, oxygenates organs and muscles, decreases cortisol levels, and stimulates our neurotransmitters to connect in new ways and make us more creative, intelligent and happy.
Led by experienced spiritual leader Kuri Ziri, this workshop will guide you through traditional songs that connect us to our ancestral roots and spiritual essence. Through immersive practices and teachings, you'll learn the significance and techniques of these sacred chants, enhancing your personal growth and spiritual journey. Whether you join us in person or from the comfort of your home (on line), this workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience the profound impact of ceremonial music. Get ready to elevate your spirit through the power of song. In Lak'ech Hala K'en (I am you, and you are me) Means we are all one.
