SAN BLAS & LA TOVARA

One of the towns with more history around the area, San Blas has been the scene and protagonist of countless stories and legends. During the viceroyalty of the New Spain was the most important port of the Western Pacific. 

La Tovara is a spring which gives rise to a natural fresh water pond in the middle of an estuary. The area is very extensive full of natural canals through the jungle. It is a very important place for nesting and shelter of many species, as well for the natural balance of ecosystems.
